Useful Tips
1. When grinding with a grinder, do not grind too much at one time. It is better to grind the amount of beans required for one cup at a time. Over grinding can result in bean fatigue and will affect the overall aroma of the brewed coffee.
2, In the process of grinding, do not rotate the handle too fast and should be gently rotated until the desired granule size, then stop.
3. After each use, the grinder can wiped with a damp cloth. The movement does not need to be cleaned. but if needed, it can be washed. Use a soft brush to brush off any excess powder inside the barrel and grinding mechanisms.
The thickness of the powder can be adjusted by following the steps below.
1. Remove the conical nut above the rocker handle and L-shaped bracket, in the centre at the top of the grinder.
2. Lift the centre screw with one hand and gently rotate the gear nut in a clockwise direction for finer grinds, and in an anti-clockwise direction for a courser grid. Please be careful not to tighten too tightly to avoid damage to the internal structure of the machine;
3. Pull back the L-shaped holder, and the long end of the holder catches the groove of any one of the gear-shaped nut part. This can be used as the zero mark of the grinding degree.
4. Treat each groove of the gear-shaped nut part as a guid of the grid;
5. Rotate the gear nut 2 to 5 grooves in a counter clockwise direction, and the grinding thickness is suitable for the espresso machine and the mocha coffee po.
Rotate the gear nut 6 to 8 grooves in a counter clockwise direction, and the grind thickness is suitable for American and/or usual counter top coffee machines, hand punches and filter coffee makers.
Rotate the gear nut pieces 9 to11 grooves in a counter clockwise direction, and the grind thickness is suitable for the general coffee makers (syphon pot).
6. Grinding thickness can be fine-tuned according to personal taste and brewing habits. The above description is for reference only;
7. After adjusting the grinding degree, put the rocker handle and nut in sequence and tighten them to start grinding the beans. Enjoy
